Eva Ekeblad Print by Elin Matilda Andersson
Eva Ekeblad was Sweden’s first chemist, and the first woman to join the Royal Academy of Science in 1748. Her greatest legacy is the invention of flour and schnapps made from potato, the former which saved many lives from famine.
