Greta Garbo Print by Elin Matilda Andersson
Greta Garbo, one of Hollywood's most iconic golden era stars, started her life in a poor working class family in Stockholm. Shrouded in secrecy, she is believed to have acted as a spy for the Allies during WW2. Throughout her life she had romantic relationships with both men and women, but sensationally refused to marry, and is remembered for her independent character.
This illustration is part of an ongoing series of notable and inspiring Scandinavian women from history, created by Sydney based illustrator and graphic designer Elin Matilda Andersson.
